Lamb
We have a great crop of beautiful lambs this Spring on Shepherd’s Hey Farm, and one of them could be yours!
Option 1: Live Lamb! Very cute and easy to keep. We will help you choose the most appropriate pet from several of our ram lambs (will be neutered as neutered males, or wethers, are the easiest to handle and make the best pets). Our sheep are bred to produce the highest quality wool for hand-spinning, and most are natural colored.
Option 2: Fresh local lamb for your freezer! We will keep it for you until it’s ready for butcher. You choose how you want it cut (we can help you with this-chops, rib roasts, boneless legs, bone-in, etc.), and then we’ll call you when it’s ready for delivery (vacuum sealed and frozen) in October or November (approximately 30-40 lbs).

Dove Sculpture
Dove Sculpture by world-renowned sculptor Walter T. Matia.
"Doves in Corn is a fall tradition. This piece is part of a series of works that I have designed around the seasonal changes and the beauty of the drying corn stalks. Whether hunter, bird watcher or casual hiker, the smell of drying leaves and the whistle of dove wings is a joy for all your senses."
Walter Matia was educated at Williams College in Massachusetts, where he earned degrees in Biology and Art Design. Much of his training was attained during a long apprenticeship in the Exhibits Department of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History.
After leaving the Cleveland Museum, Walter worked for eleven years with the Nature Conservancy, a national non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of endangered species and unique habitats. He served as the organization’s vice president in charge of land management.
He began casting bronze sculptures in 1980. Initially, he concentrated on bird life, over the years he has worked on sporting dogs and other mammals. In 1987 he began a series of large fountain and garden pieces. In 1989 the Blair House Restoration Committee placed one of his fountains in the formal garden of the United States President’s Guest House. To complement the fountain, Walter produced a bronze wall frieze for the Blair House in 1992.

D’Angelico Excel SS 2016 Guitar
Barnesville parent and musician, Paul Chaconas, has donated one of his very own guitars that's perfect for novice and master musicians alike. The Excel SS has earned its place as a modern standout. A 15-inch-wide single-cutaway archtop, the SS is lightweight, punchy, and versatile. High-output Kent Armstrong humbuckers make for crisp attack and remarkable resonance, while a slim C-shape neck profile offers maximum comfort. Revered by players from Bob Weir to Kurt Rosenwinkel, the SS is no stranger to stages. The EX-SS is a pleasure to play as well as a visual showstopper. The stair-step tailpiece, pickups, Tune-o-Matic bridge, and oversized, Grover Imperial Super Rotomatic tuners, are all finished in gold, lending a lot of class to an already gorgeous aesthetic. The oversized headstock is truly a work of art, adorned with the D'Angelico New York script, oversized Grover gold-plated tuners and a mother-of-pearl inlay. The two-piece maple/walnut neck is topped with a very nice piece of rosewood, and mother-of-pearl blocks adorn the fretboard. Whether you're a jazz player or a rocker, this guitar will certainly add some pizazz to your collection!
